Kyoto Muslim Association is the sole Islamic religious corporation in Kyoto. It runs Kyoto Grand Mosque.



It started as a voluntary religious organization in 1987, and was attested as a religious corporation under the Japanese Law of Religious Corporations in 2008. Restration No. is 1300-05-006671.

It opened Kyoto Grand Mosque (Kyoto Mosque at that time) and Islamic Cultural Center in  2004. It is located in the center of Kyoto City, near the Imperial Palace.
